REACH THE WORLD GRANT
MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the ISTH's Reach the World Initiative is to foster and support world-wide growth of the field of thrombosis, hemostasis, and vascular biology, particularly in economically developing areas; and to support the next generation of investigators with state-of-the-art knowledge in diseases and disorders of thrombosis, hemostasis and their underlying vascular biology.
In pursuit of the intentions of the “Reach the World” initiative of the ISTH, we invite young researchers, in particular those from less privileged countries, to participate in the 2010 SSC Meeting.
RECIPIENTS WILL BE OFFERED
- Reimbursement of travel expense, up to 700$
- Free accommodation for the duration of the meeting (4 nights from May 21 to May 25, 2010)
- Waver of registration fee
- Welcome reception
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Applicants must be working in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis.
- Applicants must be MDs, PHDs, PHD students or medical trainees.
- Applicants must be 42 years of age or younger.
- Applicants must be in command of English language.
- Applicants must be from a developing country.
- Application must be admitted before April 15 2010.
- Applicants must not have an affiliation with pharmaceutical industry.
- Applicants must submit a letter from their institution verifying their status.
