Dear Colleagues,
From the warmth of Cairo and on behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to join us at the 56th Scientific and Standardization Committee (SSC) meeting of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) in Cairo, May 22 – 25, 2010. We are working hard from all corners of the world together with the SSC Subcommittees and working groups in various fields of thrombosis, hemostasis and vascular biology to provide an outstanding program in which novel findings, along with basic and clinical research with world experts, will be discussed.
Along with the SSC Annual Meeting’s new trend of emphasizing educational sessions, we are dedicating a day and a half of the meeting to education, featuring presidential lectures, interactive sessions, and meet-the-expert sessions. The program is designed to attract not just long-standing participants, but attendees from the Middle East, Mediterranean countries, Africa, Eastern Europe as well as the Far East.
The goal of the SSC and the ISTH “Reach the World” is to share scientific and clinical information in our fields through educational initiatives and to help Egypt fulfill its mission to be one of the highly advanced countries that pulls others along with it. A rightful place gained by the past and to be earned by the future.
The setting of the 56th Annual Meeting will be in the heart of the ancient, historic, scenic, and vibrant Cairo city, only ten minutes walking distance from the fabulous Museum of Egypt and just a half hour drive from the Sphinx and the Pyramids. Not to mention, the site overlooks one of the longest, most beautiful and romantic rivers in the world, the River Nile.
